Description
Volunteers from the local community help Medair offload hygiene kits from a helicopter in Raya, a village in the remote municipality of Ramon Villeda Morales, Gracias a Dios Department, Honduras, on 6 January 2021.
Medair is planning to distribute hygiene kits and water purification items to 2,800 households in the department. Due to the remoteness of the region, distributions will only be possible by boat.
Medair is implementing an emergency response in Honduras following back-to-back hurricanes, cutting off remote communities and displacing tens of thousands of people.
